Khotan Carpets : Handwoven in or about the ancient city of Khotan (Hotan) in the southern Uygur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang (Chinese Turkistan). They combine Chinese details with Central Asian design schemes and Western vivid coloring, except where recent fugitive dyes have reduced their effect to washed-out pastels. Khotan carpets with woolen pile have cotton warp and mixed-color wool or cotton weft and are usually made with the asymmetrical knot. Field colors may be blue, yellow, or white, aswell as the usual red.
China Carpets : China
Classic Carpets: Carpets that are woven in urban centres in fixed workshops and looms(as opposed to nomads). Their designs are first done on paper by carpet designers. These designs are strictly conducted by the weaver during the manufacturing. Even in these carpets, though there may be slight variations in weaving.
All CarpetU2 carpets are subject to cleaning with high quality antibacterial and moth protection products according to Persian law.
